Can I vote more than once on the same poll?

No. Each browser is issued a unique anonymous token. If you attempt to vote again on a poll you have already responded to, the system will show you the current results without recording a duplicate vote.

How is my geopolitical zone determined?

You self-select your zone when you vote. We do not use your IP address or device location to infer where you are from — your self-reported zone is the only regional data we collect.

We display this caveat on every poll and recommend treating results as indicative rather than statistically representative of the full Nigerian population.

Instantly. As soon as your vote is recorded in the database, the API returns the updated totals and the result bars animate to the new percentages — all within a single network round-trip, typically under 300 ms.

Survey Nigeria is an independent civic platform. We do not accept funding from political parties, government agencies, or partisan organisations. Our operating costs are covered by research partnerships and data licensing to academic institutions — never by selling individual vote data.

Yes. Every poll has a direct URL you can copy and share. You can also use the category filter on the Polls page to find polls by topic and share the filtered view.
