We Do It Right
Transparent, rigorous, and built for Nigeria's diversity. Here's exactly how Survey Nigeria collects, protects, and presents data.
Data Privacy & Anonymity
No account, no name, no phone number — ever. Each vote is tied only to an anonymous browser token that expires after 30 days. We never store IP addresses alongside vote records, and no third-party advertising trackers are loaded on poll pages.
- Anonymous browser token — no personal data collected
- Vote records stored separately from any session data
- No advertising or behavioural tracking on poll pages
- Data retained for research purposes only; never sold
Sample Size & Margin of Error
Survey Nigeria is an open-access platform — anyone with internet access can participate. Results are descriptive of our respondent pool, not a probability sample of all Nigerians. We display confidence intervals once a poll reaches 200 responses.
Regional Breakdown
Nigeria's six geopolitical zones often hold starkly different views. We break every poll down by zone so you can see where consensus exists — and where it doesn't.
Respondents self-select their zone at the time of voting. FCT is counted within North Central.
Real-time Result Updates
The moment you cast your vote, the results bars animate to reflect the new tally. There is no page refresh — your browser fetches the latest counts directly from our database and updates the display instantly.
